Davidson County High School is an alternative school serving students of Davidson County. Students come by referral from all over the district and must complete an application, including an interview process, to ensure that DCHS is the right fit for their specific educational needs. Smaller classes make individualized instruction more available to students. The goal of DCHS is to provide a quality education to all students, including those who experience life circumstances that often stand in the way of their graduation from a traditional high school. In addition to specific content teachers, DCHS has various personnel and programs that also serve students every day including student advocates, educational technology support, a Teen Parent Program, a literacy specialist, and an alternative suspension center that serves all high schools in Davidson County.
