THE TEEN PARENT PROGRAM of DAVIDSON COUNTY SCHOOLS IS HELPING STUDENTS "PIECE IT TOGETHER"
The Teen Parent Program was developed in 1988 to serve parenting students in our county's three school systems. It has moved, changed, and grown since then to better meet our students needs. Our program offers:
A lighter academic load (3 classes for the semester)
Graduation requirements decreased by 1 unit
On-Line academic classes provided by Davidson County High School
Caring faculty and a smaller school size
Parenting/Child Development course for high school credit
Field trips to area hospital and quality child care facilities
Assistance in child care plannning, graduation planning, and resource referrals
Weekly school nurse visits
A supportive atmosphere for parenting students
Interested students/parents/guardians should contact their school Student Services Department for brochures, information, and to schedule a conference with Mrs. Martha Maness (TPP Coordinator).
Mrs. Maness will gladly come to your location to discuss your needs.
